Rule 2.01
"A distance of 320 feet or more along the foul lines, and 400 feet or more to center field is preferable."
OPACY
This site is dedicated to all the analytics around the left field wall at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. From 2022-2024 Oriole Park at Camden Yards featured a left field wall which Charm City folk called "Walltimore" and "the Great Wall of Baltimore." Known for its height and distance from home plate, it is being replaced for the 2025 season by a wall that is closer to home and shorter.
We have 3d plotted the balls hit to left field that traveled minimally 373 feet but were not home runs during the 2022-2024 seasons. 373 feet is the new distance to the corner in left field where the wall bends in towards the foul pole. The year and only those opponents that hit such balls are listed below. A green wall is added to the plot which approximates the new wall location. The stadium can be rotated and zoomed in.
Orange lines are Os batted balls that went 373 ft or more but were not home runs. Black lines are the same, but for the visiting team.
